We measured the temperature of water when it had been in the sunshine for a while. We had two pans the same size but one was painted white and the other was black. We also had two silver pans, but one was deep and the other was flatter. We took the temperatures in all four pans at the same time so the air temperature was the same. We found out that we need more practice in reading a thermometer because we didn't get really good readings. Which pans do you think were warmer? Why?
