Wednesday Morning

Yesterday we had a new student enroll in our class. We want to welcome Kaeley Taylor to Cottonwood Elementary. We hope she enjoys being here and that everyone will make her feel welcome. We also want to welcome back Tyler Morris, who returned to our class a few weeks ago. We are glad you are back, Tyler! With two Tylers and a Kaeley and Carlie, Mrs. Labrum gets all mixed up with names! I hope everyone just laughs with me when I can't remember which name to call which person.
Our math facts are really going great! Lots of people are finishing each day, and more are passing off the drills. Here is the list for Monday and Tuesday:
Jasa passed 2A for the first time.
Payton pass 1C for the first time.
Landon pass 2A for the second and third time. He is moving on to 2B.
Drake passed 2A for the first and second time. One more to go!
Rylon, Ricky, and Danyale passed 2B for the second time.
Carlie passed 2C for the third time, so she goes on to 3A today.
Jewel passed 1C for the third time, so she moves to 2A.
Stetler got 100% on 3A for the third time. He is now on 3B.
Hunter got 100% on 2B for the first time.

What a great list of achievements! Keep up the hard work. You will be able to do your math so much easier when you memorize those facts!

I hope you are using the wikispace to find some fun computer activities to do when you are home. We will preview some of the activities during the day at school, when we get a few minutes.

Are you thinking of what you are going to write for your witch's description? We will be working on this next week. Today we will be working on writing sentences with commas in a series of words. We will also work on different methods of subtraction. Don't forget to read each night. Next week we will start reading mysteries, so get your detective skills up to speed and solve the mystery.
